A New Chapter Begins: Broadway Shopping Center Enters a New Era Under Sigmund Companies

The Sigmund Companies is pleased to announce another addition to our convenience and necessity shopping center portfolio as part of our Open Value strategy. 

Washington D.C., January 29, 2026— The Sigmund Companies (“TSC”) announced today that it has acquired the 118,575-square foot grocery-anchored shopping center in Knoxville, TN.

Broadway Shopping Center is the original open-air shopping center built in Knoxville in 1956 and a well-known destination for the community. The asset is located along North Broadway in the booming Knoxville MSA, which has experienced unprecedented growth over the past five years.

As the community’s central retail marketplace, Broadway Shopping Center is anchored by national convenience and necessity-oriented retailers, including Dollar General, Goodwill, Sav A Lot, and Taco Bell.

TSC will operate the property as part of its Private Investment Management division which focuses on the allocation of capital on behalf of high net worth accredited investors. Marcus & Millichap represented the owner in the sale, Ojas Partners will handle the leasing, and TSC Management will provide management services for the center.
